Walk up the Josui street past many fashionable shops, and you will find Fukuoka City Zoological Garden which is a part of Minami Park. The zoo is a half century old and is now undergoing renewal set to take 20 years. The zoo is divided into 5 continents and you can observe 140 kinds of animals, including endangered species such as gorillas and Oryx, and Raggiana Bird of Paradise. In the botanical garden are 2600 kinds of plants including dove trees. The panoramic view of Fukuoka city from the Ferris wheel is a great feature of the garden as well.

I don't have any guides of this zoo. Does any body know if they made any guides? And where I can get those?
In the years 1978 and 2003 they had theire anniversarrys. Have they made any books on this occassion?
